The Gold Rush story is a fictional drama with an embedded mystery. Although the show is not a musical, the trailer (which has been filmed and is now in editing) is presented as a musical dream sequence providing an introduction to the six fictional characters introduced below whose lives are affected by family, friends and fame.

    Wellington Vallejo & Chiara Davis

In the LA Gold Rush dream sequence, LaTisha Chandler and her brother Kendrick Chandler are played by Wellington Vallejo and Chiara Davis.

Kendrick has just been drafted to the Los Angeles Gold Rush, the team that made his retired father a living legend. Kendrick is challenged to overcome both his own youthful mistakes and the more pervasive pattern of dysfunction from which they arose.

LaTisha, a freelance journalist, accepts a fluffy but lucrative writing assignment: an investigative report on the violent death of the wife of her father Sharif’s only close friend, which happened several years ago. LaTisha relishes the opportunity to expose a mystery that involved her estranged father.

    Kareem Abdul Jabbar

    Played by Daniel Danielson

Sharif Chandler is played by Daniel Danielson. Sharif, father of Kendrick Chandler, hasn’t had much to do with raising twenty-year-old Kendrick. However, once Ken is drafted to the Los Angeles Gold Rush, Sharif finds himself in a position where it would be financially and politically expedient to foster more of a relationship with his oldest son.

    Habiba

    Played by Justine J. Hall

Sandy Beauvais, Sharif Chandler’s ex-wife in the Gold Rush dream sequence, is played by Justine J. Hall.  Sandy’s choice to uphold her Christian values puts her at a disadvantage in defending her and her children’s needs against an emotionally challenged man in a culture full of aggressive and financially calculating women.
